What we teach

Sakshin Ghatastha (suk-shin ga-tush-ta) Yoga is a contemporary development of Traditional Hatha Yoga. In this fluid style, specific sequences are used to integrate the body's vital energy and enhance natural physical progression.

Eastern cultures have studied the nature of vital energy for thousands of years through disciplines such as Yoga, Martial Arts and Chinese Medicine.

In Yogic understanding, vital energy is known as prana and is perceived as intrinsic to all forms of life. Depletion or stagnation of prana in the body is described as the root of all dis-ease. Applying specialised yoga techniques can increase and circulate prana, stimulating powerful physical, mental and spiritual transformation.

The physical discipline of Sakshin Ghatastha Yoga uses an intelligent method of movement and breathing to cultivate and direct prana. This removes pyscho-somatic blockages in the individual and allows sensitive awareness to emerge. The direct result is a restoration of the entire nervous system and a growth in strength, stamina and flexiblity.

Through this yoga process the perfect atmosphere is prepared for entering meditation.
